ADVT

Academy of Veterinary Dermatology Technicians

The Academy of Dermatology Veterinary Technicians (ADVT) gives the accredited veterinary technician the opportunity to advance their knowledge and skills in dermatology. A veterinary specialty technician (VTS) in dermatology has advanced proficiency in dermatological diseases, procedures, treatments, and continuing education to share with clients and other veterinary professionals.

One of the requirements to become a VTS is to be a certified veterinary technician (CVT) for 3 years under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian. As a dermatology technician, some examples of care and responsibilities include collecting and reading cytology, assisting with ear flush or CO2 laser procedures, and providing client education regarding the hair, skin, nails, and ears of animal patients.

You will find on this page all informations on ADVT, and different clinical cases.
